It’s that time of the year again: homecoming. Homecoming is when alumni and South Pointe families come together to support the Stallions. Leading up to Friday’s football game against the Lancaster Bruins will be a spirit week where students and faculty are encouraged to dress to get into the school spirit. The day after, there will be a semi-formal homecoming dance.

The theme for this spirit week are as follows:

Tuesday is America Day, Wednesday is Athletes vs Mathletes, Thursday is College Rep, and Friday is Stallion Spirit.

Not only are students and faculty encouraged to participate in spirit week and go to the Friday night football game, they are also encouraged to participate in the semi-formal homecoming dance on Saturday night from 8-12 p.m.

The theme for the dance is “City of Lights.” It is semi-formal, so wearing wedding/church attire is recommended.  You can buy tickets for $10 individually or $15 for a couple, at all three lunches. After Tuesday, every person will have to pay $10.

Adviser Madeline Maingi says regarding why students should participate, “It shows school spirit, and also gives the underclassmen an opportunity to participate in a dance before prom their junior/senior years. We want to build a supportive and inclusive community that makes students excited to be a part of the South Pointe student body!”
