The annual Cheer for Children is tomorrow in South Pointe’s Main Gym from 12-2 p.m. Cheer for Children is an event that South Pointe hosts to involve the Stallion community, including clubs, athletics, and volunteers.

During Cheer for Children, every volunteer is assigned a child to take care of and play games with. It is filled with loud music, mini games, and laughter.

Junior Jackson Chappell looks forward to participating in this event because he believes it’s a good opportunity to give back to the community.

Other Stallions, including senior Peyton Morrison, has participated in this event for all four years of high school.

Morrison said, “It’s a good way to be involved with the community and it’s awesome for South Pointe because it gets our name out there and shows that we are doing something good for and including the Rock Hill community. I really like kids so it’s fun to play with them too.”

After participating in this event, most people believe that it is a great way to involve the community and they wish to come back every year.

“It’s just a real fun time where the kids can interact with the South Pointe athletes. I think everyone should just come because it has a great community feel where everyone can come out and have fun.” said Athletic Administrative Assistant Nancy Konicki.
