The Flipside Restaurant has been open for a couple of years and is situated in Old Town on Caldwell Street next to Millstone Pizza. This cute little restaurant serves locally inspired comfort food with an upscale southern hospitality environment, which is an eclectic mix of your grandma’s home place, industrial, and urban art gallery.  The lighting is creative and welcoming.

After being greeted by the delightful hostess, we were seated in a booth with pre-set glasses and silverware. The restaurant was open and inviting and gave the feeling of being at home. Servers seem to want you to be there, which is not always the case in more upscale places.

The Flipside Restaurant, Rock Hill’s fancier version of the Flipsides in other locations, is open seven days a week while serving lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday and brunch on Sundays. Monday through Thursday they are open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We went for a late lunch/early supper, but this could also be a prom destination. It’s menu and vibe pair with any occasion, honestly.

Even teenagers can afford the burger or small plate offerings. They offer skillets and a variety of seafood and interesting meat plates with creative sides that are way out of our price range at $29 for the more expensive plates. The food arrived about 15 minutes after ordering it. The burger I ordered was delicious and the fries were seasoned to perfection.

The restaurant’s variety of food has something for everyone in the family to enjoy. I was delighted with the amazing service at the restaurant and without doubt, recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a good meal and a great experience.
