Five Stallion track and field athletes clinched region championships yesterday at York Comprehensive High School. Senior Jalen Pickett-Hicks set a new school record with his shot put of 53 feet, 7.5 inches to earn the region title in that event.

Adisan Funke, who owns both shot put and discus school records, became the region champ in discus yesterday. Abby Lujan claimed the title in pole vault.

On the track James McKinney won the championship in the 400-meter hurdles, and Timothy White in the 3200 meters.
