South Pointe High School’s Theater Department will present “Moonlight & Magnolias” this weekend in C100.

“Moonlight & Magnolias” is a comedic glimpse into the high-rating writing of “Gone with the Wind”.

The story shows David O. Selznick (Ayden Tauzel), who while on set for “Gone with the Wind”, realizes how terrible the script actually is. He takes on the task to completely create a new script in five days with screenwriter Ben Hecht (JaKevious Moore), who hasn’t even read the book.

“Moonlight & Magnolias” will be performed Sept. 6-8 at 7 p.m and Sept. 9 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults.
