Homecoming Week at South Pointe

Leaves are falling, cool wind is blowing, and South Pointe’s football stadium is progressively increasing in community attendance each Friday night. Thanks to Ms. Madeline Maingi and the student council, the Homecoming festivities are well on their way. This year, the overall theme of Homecoming will be “Up in the Clouds”.
Monday, 10/8, Wake Up! Be sure to wake up and wear your PJ’s to school.
Tuesday, 10/9, Pair Up! Grab a friend and dress as twins.
Wednesday, 10/11, Mixed Up! Wear the tackiest and most mismatched outfit you can find.
Thursday, 10/12, Back Up! Wear 90’s/00’s inspired outfits.
Friday, 10/12, Glo’ Up! Dress in neon colors from head to toe.
The annual pep rally will be held on Friday, Oct. 12. Student will be allowed to participate in fun activities such as a rap battle and a game of knockout, where the winners will take home prizes. Stallions will also be experiencing the Chewy takeover experience as 92.7 The Block’s very own Chewy, will be attending as the guest musical entertainment.
To stick to traditions, this year’s homecoming Queen will be crowned at the Homecoming game on Oct. 12 during halftime. However, the princesses per grade level will be crowned at the dance on Oct. 13 the following Saturday evening. All grades are invited and encouraged to attend the festivities of the dance. Tickets will be sold on Oct. 3 and 4 for $8 for one person and $12 per couple. Tickets sold the week of homecoming will be $10 for a single ticket and $15 for a couple.
