Girls Basketball Team Goes to Upper State Championship

The Stallions Women’s Basketball team defeated the Westwood Redhawks 57-41 on Friday, Feb. 22, at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in the AAAA Upper State Championship.

Coming off of a win in the first round of playoffs, Sr. Scarlett Gilmore and Jr. Jamia Blake became the first women basketball players at South Pointe to score 1,000 points.

These two Stallions led the team in the upper state game, leading the score the entire game.

The Stallions will play in the State Championship game against North Augusta on Mar. 2, at 5:30 p.m. at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, S.C.
