Rock Hill police are conducting an ongoing investigation into who defaced the Trojan statue and a retired teacher’s memorial garden with paint and horse manure at Northwestern High School Thursday night, South Pointe resource officer John Aiton said today.

The vandalism occurred before the Stallions beat the Trojans 28-25 in a tight rivalry game at District 3 Stadium Friday, Aiton confirmed.  The incident is on videotape, the officer said.

Northwestern resource officer Vincent Simple said no further details will be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
